Lemme be up front with you: I don't "finish" many drawings. I just don't. I draw almost exclusively in sketchbooks, and inking in sketchbooks is really gross; and I can't color because I'm colorblind. (I've had far too many unintentionally hilarious episodes of painting the inside of someone's mouth green, or of staring at three different brown colored pencils trying to pick out the one I think is red, not to have learned my lesson.)
So if you're looking for "finished" drawings, the best I can offer are these pseudo-finished sketches. Most of them are fairly decently cleaned-up pencil drawings, with as much detail as I ever manage to muster. I hope that's all right, because honestly, you don't want to see the alternative.

I always liked how this one turned out, even though it's sort of old... I guess that's part of why I liked it: it was way better than the pages before and after it. I'm not sure what a lion thinks he's doing acting like a top, but... |
Cmere.webp | 07/09/2000 | 76 KB
This guy is referenced from an ocelot character drawn by Frank Gembeck, Jungle Boy. Credit where it's due, y'know. |
PonyCar.webp | 07/12/2000 | 80 KB
I got on some kind of "car" kick at some point in 2001 or thereabouts; this one's a Ferrari F355, and the guy with his ass in the air is supposed to represent the rampant stallion in the Ferrari logo. |
Diablo.webp | 07/14/2000 | 82 KB
Similarly, a bull for the Lamborghini Diablo. It helps that Lamborghini uses the names of famous Spanish bulls for the names of its cars; if I were to continue this series with the Murciélago and the Gallardo, I could use the same character. Unfortunately, I never liked this one as much as the Ferrari one. |
Mongoose.webp | 09/19/2000 | 91 KB
A mongoose, for the new Qvale Mangusta. I just saw two of these in one day on I-85 a couple of weeks ago... This kinda breaks from the "logo animal" theme of the series, which I'd say means the series was pretty ill-conceived to start with. Ah well. |
DuCati.webp | 09/23/2000 | 121 KB
Well, okay, one more: a Ducati 996, for a friend who's absolutely horny for them. |
HollowKitty.webp | 08/09/2000 | 45 KB
I suppose this one really doesn't deserve comment, does it? Sorry, everyone. |
LionLeopard.webp | 10/12/2000 | 120 KB
There's that lion thinking he's a top again. Someone better put him in his place, right quick now... |
WhatchaWaitingFor.webp | 07/23/2001 | 93 KB
Okay, this is more like it. That's the side of a lion we like to see. |
PartyAnimal.webp | 10/13/2000 | 111 KB
I can't even begin to remember what this was for, if anything. I think maybe I'd gotten it into my head that action poses and cutoff shorts were a winning combination. |
SMBK.webp | 12/05/2000 | 129 KB
This is another one that's pretty old, but that I really like anyway. The expression on the guy's face is destined to be another of those things I'll never be able to replicate, I think. |
YiffySub.webp | 01/09/2001 | 103 KB
Okay, silly story behind this one. I was in Vegas, and a t-shirt store had matching shirts with the slogans "It's Good the Be the King" and "It's Good to Be the Queen", with a lion and a lioness respectively, each wearing super-hip shades. So in the interest of setting the record straight... |
J.webp | 04/01/2001 | 108 KB
Character design for a friend of mine. He later took this and vectorized it into a Flash. |
Leopard.webp | 07/15/2001 | 106 KB
Another friend in feline form. |
CheetahBeanbag.webp | 07/23/2001 | 123 KB
A friend wanted a sketch of his character to hang on the wall of his apartment after he moved to Seattle. So I did this, gave him the original, and kept the scan. |
InsignificantOther.webp | 09/02/2004 | 94 KB
Okay, so sometimes I do get a little bit snarky. Pay me no mind. |
SnowmeowButt.webp | 07/29/2001 | 124 KB
The only problem with snow leopards is that they've got this humungous tail you have to push out of the way... |
LapKitty.webp | 07/29/2001 | 126 KB
Then again, maybe it's not that much of a problem at all. The biggest problem is getting them out of your lap when you need to get some work done. |
LeopardBait.webp | 08/29/2001 | 148 KB
This is a good friend of mine, and believe it or not, with the exception of being human, he looks about just like this. This drawing was easily recognized by just about everyone who knew him, so I was pretty pleased with it. |
ShowerFun.webp | 08/29/2001 | 141 KB
It's too bad water makes such a miserable lube; otherwise, showers and hot tubs would be all the more alluring places to meet. |
Yote.webp | 08/29/2001 | 91 KB
Character portrait for a friend of mine. |
BoundLion1.webp | 08/29/2001 | 106 KB
These next few pictures I drew with some, er, rather vivid inspiration happening not ten feet away. So, um, that's my excuse if the proportions start getting a little wonky... |
BoundLion2.webp | 08/29/2001 | 93 KB
Normally I'm not much for bondage... but as long as it's minor, and leads to poses like this, I have no objections at all. |
BoundLion3.webp | 08/29/2001 | 124 KB
There are some balance problems with the legs on this one, but again I must plead extenuating circumstances. I was, er, kinda distracted... |
MelonBall.webp | 09/03/2001 | 155 KB
It's the new sport of the century! Grease up a watermelon with Vaseline, then heave it into the swimmin' hole with a bunch of guys with life jackets strapped around their hips (so they can float and flail without having to worry about treading water). Then play football with it! It's tons of fun. |
YoteTorso.webp | 09/03/2001 | 151 KB
This character portrait became more of a study of flexed chest muscles than anything else; and I think it turned out pretty well. |
IFeelPretty.webp | 09/08/2001 | 114 KB
What do you do when a hot little lion starts dressing like a girl? Well, hey, go with it... |
ButtButtTheButt.webp | 09/08/2001 | 102 KB
Okay, call me self-satisfied or whatever—but I just love this one. I think it's one of the most successful things I've ever done; it's just really satisfying, in its weight and balance and three-dimensionality and just in general how it "feels". ...Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna spend a few minutes evaluating how it "feels". |
LionYoteReam.webp | 09/16/2001 | 92 KB
I'll bet they don't hate having their tails tugged on that much... at least, depending on the circumstances. |
LionButt.webp | 09/16/2001 | 103 KB
This is another one I'm really pretty happy with. What is it with lions and butts? I guess it's just a subject that agrees with me. If there's a lion butt in front of my face, I just nod and nod and nod... |
RoaringOrgasm.webp | 09/17/2001 | 144 KB
Is it sexier for a lion to roar during orgasm, or for a wolf to howl? I'm sure it depends on your personal viewpoint. Me, I'm partial to both doing it at once... |
AMomentToHimself.webp | 09/17/2001 | 94 KB
After a long day of standing in suggestive poses, what does our lion do as soon as the cameras are off? Why, the same thing you or I would do, I'm sure... |
PetLion.webp | 09/22/2001 | 121 KB
Okay, this is just too cute to live. I'm not at all sure how the physics of this arrangement work, though. I'm sure a tesseract is involved somewhere... |
SubbyLionWaitThatsRedundant.webp | 09/22/2001 | 123 KB
I'm totally seriously. Is it really necessary to say "subby lion"? I mean, isn't that the soul of redundancy? |
PreyLion.webp | 09/22/2001 | 89 KB
I'm not quite as pleased with this one; something about the perspective seems off. |
TimeToGetUp.webp | 09/23/2001 | 80 KB
Heeee. I love this one. Based on a true story! ...Or something. |
TailHigh.webp | 10/17/2001 | 85 KB
My bed's missing one of these. I need to pick one up immediately. |
Mrew.webp | 10/18/2001 | 77 KB
Awww. See, here's the thing: a lion in bondage is, like, such overkill. You want a lion to be a bottomy little squirmy bitch, all you have to do is ask nicely... there's no need for shackles and chains... |
LionSnowmeowHump.webp | 10/18/2001 | 109 KB
Oh, how very depraved. But just remember, it's the female snow leopards that are impossible to reason with, because they hate males of every species. Males, however, and probably largely for that very reason, will take whatever attention they can get... |
Lion-Cat5.webp | 10/30/2001 | 161 KB
Yeah, yeah, I know it's a dorky joke... but it's a serviceable icon for printing up and taping to the storage bins where the cables are. Or so I'm told... |
Lullaby.webp | 11/12/2001 | 141 KB
My First iPod. Yeah, I got mine the very first weekend they were released—one of the original 5GB ones. And it serenaded me to sleep that night. |
HelplessLion.webp | 11/18/2001 | 119 KB
There was photo reference used for this. Good thing, too, because I don't think I'd have had much luck trying to replicate this pose without something to base it on... |
Birthday.webp | 09/17/2004 | 140 KB
I did this for a liony friend I was visiting. Yes, he's supposed to be that effeminate... though I'm not quite so sure about the huge-headedness of the other guy. |
FlightSuit.webp | 01/06/2002 | 104 KB
For a couple of friends of mine, possibly for Valentine's Day. You know, it must suck mightily to have to worry about your fur getting stuck in a zipper all along your body... |
TTtB-Impalas.webp | 01/19/2002 | 134 KB
I couldn't resist... an illustration from a story I liked. Male deeer humping each other? Check. Young lion hiding in the bushes being traumatized? Check. Accurate knowledge of cervine anatomy? Uh... lemme get back to you on that one. |
BarSlut.webp | 01/19/2002 | 89 KB
I dunno, I'm getting these really subtle signals from this guy over here at the bar... I don't know what he's trying to tell me... |
NoseToNose.webp | 01/30/2002 | 100 KB
Now that's some textbook afterglow, right there. This is like that cat-and-the-piece-of-buttered-toast thing: if you stick two lions together, since neither one can be on the top, do they just float in the air spinning and acting as a perpetual-motion machine? |
LapLion.webp | 01/30/2002 | 152 KB
Gimme. |
ValentineLion.webp | 02/13/2002 | 137 KB
Valentine's Day is the day for subtle and chaste greetings from one sweetheart to another, suggesting with restrained innuendo the possibility of a romantic tryst. |
Foursome.webp | 02/23/2002 | 145 KB
Yeah, this actually happened... and it's reproduced as accurately as I know how. I couldn't work in the bit about grabbing the distant pump-action lube bottle by hooking it with my foot and conveying it over to where it was needed, though... |
AllDressed.webp | 02/24/2002 | 115 KB
I've always been amused by Canada's sheer variety of seasonings and flavorings for things like chips, popcorn, and other snack items. Particularly noteworthy, to my way of thinking, is the one called "All Dressed". |
NowIveGotYou.webp | 03/15/2002 | 193 KB
Here's how you get fucked by a lion: you trick him into thinking he's on the bottom, through use of a suitably bodacious buttplug. I like the lion's teeth in this one. Makes him look sort of like halfway between "You insidious bastard!" and "Holy crap that's good!" |
ManeChaser.webp | 06/11/2002 | 137 KB
"Hello, everybody... my name is Chris McKinley, and... I'm a mane chaser." "Hi, Chris!" |
BigBadWolves.webp | 06/17/2002 | 198 KB
Characters from that story idea with Morty the bunny. These guys' motives are fairly obvious, or ought to be... |
KDragon.webp | 07/08/2002 | 160 KB
Character design for a dragon friend of mine; normally stuff like this is totally alien to me, but this proved an interesting challenge. And I don't think it turned out half bad. Not that I want to do something like this again necessarily, mind... |
MSnowmeow.webp | 07/14/2002 | 133 KB
Portrait for an old, old friend of mine (he knew me before I was drawing). |
BoundLion4.webp | 07/20/2002 | 121 KB
Ever more grist for the best-side-of-a-lion gallery. If nothing else, this series has given me plenty of practice at drawing butts... |
DF.webp | 11/10/2002 | 101 KB
Character sketch I did for someone with a very specific description. It involved a nine-foot-long tail. This was about the only way I could think to get it all in frame at once... |
HornyLion.webp | 12/22/2002 | 67 KB
A horny lion. Imagine such a thing! |
SuckingContest.webp | 01/07/2003 | 89 KB
It's always a contest, whether acknowledged or not: Who can finish quickest? And the winner gets another one. Right away! |
Mrow.webp | 02/14/2003 | 86 KB
I can't remember if this was supposed to be a name badge for myself, or for a friend... but I'll take it, if it's not spoken for. |
MEVday.webp | 02/20/2003 | 96 KB
Valentine's card for a couple of friends. Are you maybe picking up on the theme that most of the stuff I consider "finished" consists of stuff I've drawn for friends? |
SkinnyCheetah.webp | 04/27/2003 | 80 KB
Cheetahs are interesting to draw. Far more complex than they appear at first blush. And I'm not at all sure I have them down... |
TrailHead.webp | 04/29/2003 | 143 KB
Okay, so my imagination breaks loose of its chains every now and then and goes off binging without me. That's okay, because it always brings me back a little something. What? You say this isn't what happens to you every time you go on a hike? |
KMHump.webp | 05/08/2003 | 100 KB
The thing about big felines being so, er, modestly endowed is that they're all compatible with each other, regardless of relative size. Yay! |
Roux.webp | 05/11/2003 | 91 KB
A roo-y friend of mine. And yes, yes, I know all about the fabled kangaroo balls that are supposed to go on the other side of the cock. I like it better this way. So blah! |
LionCheetah.webp | 12/02/2003 | 159 KB
These next two were done for a cheetah fellow with some very vivid and compelling pieces of imagery to bestow upon me. And since the most precious of commodities for me is compelling and drawable imagery, who was I to resist? |
WolfCheetah.webp | 12/02/2003 | 223 KB
I know that's one long-ass torso. But what the hell, I like this anyway, somehow... |
WMorning.webp | 02/04/2004 | 114 KB
The deal here (I know it's not the best-composed piece in the world) is supposed to be that the lion dude is getting up, stretching, and then suddenly noticing his morning wood. Nothing more esoteric. Not the most successful of outings. |
ATSquirt.webp | 02/04/2004 | 158 KB
Now then, this... I love how this one worked out. I think the squirrel's face (and his cock and the spooge) are among my favorites in this whole collection. That's a high-pressure little squirrel, in any case, yesno? |
MLionDoorway.webp | 06/13/2004 | 200 KB
A friend in England sent me photos of his nude self to use in drawing him as a lion. Uncut cocks aren't something I get a lot of experience drawing, so this was a welcome challenge... as was working with facial hair on a muzzle. |
MLionHorse.webp | 07/08/2004 | 94 KB
Same guy, in a somewhat more compromising position. I just love his face squished into the ground. That just "happened"; I could never have planned it. |
DCHusky.webp | 09/02/2004 | 132 KB
This guy asked me to draw him, sent me a description, then... vanished off the face of the earth, and his e-mail started bouncing. Ah well—his loss, our gain, huh? |
Shower.webp | 09/02/2004 | 187 KB
Based on a true story. The species have no bearing on the players in question, except (in some kind of generic sense) the way I'd have characterized their respective bearing and attitude. What the hell am I babbling about? |
JailhouseRock.webp | 09/02/2004 | 105 KB
We never see enough porn of these guys. The setting seemed to just be too perfect not to use. |
StallionGeyser.webp | 09/02/2004 | 82 KB
I drew this one outside, under the trees, sitting on a rock; and just as I was finishing, a tree dripped sap on it. Either the tree was turned on, or Mother Nature disapproves of my vile burlesque of her creations. Neither possibility would surprise me. |
